Summary: Though his imprint rejected him Jacob stays hopeful and close to Edward. He does so even though he annoys the vampire and his human. He gains an alliance with Rosalie and Emmett that becomes a friendship, and eventually the rest of the family follows but not before tragedy strikes. Dark magic lures the wolf away from his precious vampire and safety of his lands. Jacob becomes the hunted instead of the hunter. Power so vile taunts and plays with Jacob's life that he loses everything. His freedom, his senses, his hope, and for a while, his life. Even more powerful magic brings him back, but at what cost?
